The 30-day Pro Preview

Register an email and Pro runs for thirty days. No card, so there is nothing to cancel and no way for us to charge you at the end of it.

This page is the whole of it — how it starts, what is switched on while it runs, and where everything lands afterwards. The short version of that last part: nothing is deleted, Favorites fold into your pins, and extra spaces lock until you move them in.

Starting it

Create an account from the panel — an email, then either a password or a code we email you. The thirty days start there, and a strip above the footer counts them down and opens Settings, where the plan lives. Do nothing on day 31 and you are on Free.

What is on for thirty days

All of Pro, not a sample of it: five spaces, the Favorites tray, every Chrome window's tabs in one list, Search across all of it, and sync between computers. Nothing is watermarked, capped, or held back for the paid version. The full list is on thepricing section.

Thirty days is long enough to build something real in it, which is the point and also the reason the rest of this page exists: what you build is yours whether or not you subscribe.

Day 31, if you stay on Free

Nothing is deleted. No pin, no folder, and no space is removed — not then, and not later. Free is pins and the tabs you have open, which is most of the sidebar. Search hides, other windows go back to being just this window, and sync stops sending. Your pins, folders, and their homes are untouched, and import and export work on every plan.

Two things need more than a sentence.

Favorites fold into your pins

Free has no Favorites tray, so rather than leave those sites in a tray that is not there, they become pins. They move to the top of the space you are in, in the order they were in the tray, and anything already pinned is not duplicated. This happens on its own — there is nothing to answer.

This is the one part that does not undo itself. Subscribe later and the tray comes back empty, because those sites are pins now. Dragging them back up takes a few seconds, but we are not going to pretend it happens by itself.

Extra spaces lock, they do not vanish

Free keeps one space — the first one. Any others stay right where they are in the switcher, dimmed, with a small padlock. If you were standing in one of them when the preview ended, you are put back in the first.

A locked space is a view, not a change. Nothing is written, nothing is moved, and the pins inside it are exactly as you left them. Tap one and it asks what you want to do, and both answers keep everything:

• Move it in — its pins go into the space you kept, inside a folder named after the space, so the shape you built survives instead of being poured into a pile.
• Go Pro — five spaces again, and the padlocks come off exactly as they were.

Until you pick one, the space simply sits there. We are not going to decide it for you, and we are not going to delete it to make the decision easier.

If you subscribe later

Every locked space unlocks the way it was, as long as you had not already moved it in — the lock never touched the contents. Spaces you did move in stay as folders, because they are your pins now and shuffling them back would be another surprise. Favorites are the exception noted above.

If you never subscribe

You keep a sidebar. Pins, folders, homes, and this window's tabs do not expire, and there is no nag screen you have to dismiss to use them. The preview is thirty days of the rest of it, not thirty days of the product.
